Subject to consent, the plans would complement the existing Thames Oilport and deliver a new Thames Food Park, Thames Energy Park and central hub.
Thames Oilport – Fuel terminal and fuel supply distribution centre.
Thames Food Park – Cold and chilled food processing, manufacture, storage and distribution.
Thames Energy – Park Bringing new and existing sustainable industry generation to Thurrock, as well as a focal point for small and medium sized businesses to research and develop new technologies and techniques for the energy industry.
A central hub – Skills academy, R&D, training and conference space.
The four clusters would support and sustain each other, with energy from Thames Energy Park utilised by Thames Food Park, waste food providing feedstock for the Thames Energy Park and waste-derived fuels from the Energy Park being utilised by Thames Oilport. This provides a rare opportunity to deliver a sustainable, integrated and highly-skilled employment site in the South East.
